Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer

SDS Resources, LLC is currently in need of Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers and Designers for various power companies and plants throughout the southeast. We also have a need for Cost Analysts, Schedulers, Planners, QA/QC and Safety Specialists. Prior experience with some/all of following

• Coal combustion products (flyash, bottom ash, synthetic gypsum)
• Advanced coursework in engineering properties of solid waste
• Drilling/in-situ test
• Foundation installation and inspection
• Landfills/impoundments
• Pile-driving
• Geotechnical and environmental software
• Soil classification
• Lab/chem tests
• Fill compaction/sitework
• Slope stability analysis
• B.S. Degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering preferred, or Civil with heavy geotechnical emphasis
• MS Degree strongly preferred
• Advanced coursework in foundations, soils, soil compaction and stabilization, geology, environmental engineering

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills and client skills
• Deep foundation design; engineering properties of soils; QC methods; proficiency in computing and modeling; ASTM Standards; laboratory and field testing; application and interpretation of in-situ test results
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical analyses.
