One of the world’s leading suppliers of drilling and excavation machinery and the market’s most comprehensive range of products for rock excavation operations is currently looking for a Global Product Line Manager, Mining Drilling Rigs in Central Florida.

Job description:

• The key responsibility for the Global Product Line Manager, Mining Drilling Rigs is to develop & maintain strategic competitiveness of the product line throughout the life cycle.
• This role also involves implementing and developing the phase in and out strategy of the product life cycle; managing the international offering team; ensuring quality of product meets company standards; and determining and setting objectives for the product managers and regional support managers to ensure optimal use of resources.
• Integral parts of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Initiate development and introduction of new products into the market
• Execute & drive decisions to terminate products and offerings in combination with marketing and sales in the involved Customer Segments.
• Provide/Coordinate product training and application training for end users & customers.
• Work in collaborate with the marketing & sales teams on sales materials, technical articles and promotional items.
• Develop strong positioning & over see product brand management in line with the company’s branding strategy.
• Recommend list pricing & supporting determination of appropriate transfer price structure.
• Develop plans for the lifecycle & release of new products while managing operating costs, failure/release forecasting, and prepare training & manuals at time of release.
• Business intelligence for the blasthole product line and maintain a strong relationship with all Regional Product Line Managers.
• Propose annual and long term R&D projects.
• Deliver feedback on quality performance to all units supplying the products.
• Support integrated offering though the global offering and networking and co-operating with other Global Product Line Managers.

Job requirements

• The qualified candidate will possess a BS and 10-15 years of relevant experience, preferably a MBA or Masters in Engineering, with emphasis on Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• In addition, the ideal candidate will also have 5-10+ years experience working with the international roll-out & strategy of new product development within the mining & excavation industry
• Previous experience supervising other managers; 5 -7yrs demonstrated experience managing projects in an industrial environment; experience leading teams in a global and culturally diverse setting; and strong written and oral communication skills in the English language are ALL necessary requirements for this role.
