The Payne Firm is a
growing environmental consulting firm with a focus on international and
domestic M&A work and post acquisition integration, including due
diligence, site characterization, and remediation. We have offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago, and now in Albany, NY.
We have an immediate
opening for a mid-level Project Geologist/Engineer in our Albany, NY office.
- Requirements include a
B.S. degree in geology, engineering, or related discipline, with 5-10 years
experience in environmental consulting
- Position will include
various project management tasks, client communications, communicating with
regulators, proposal writing, technical data interpretation, report writing,
site investigation work including field sampling and oversight work, due
diligence work, tracking compliance with consent order documents, and managing
contractors
- Experience with managing
remedial systems, overseeing in-situ remedial applications, and developing remedial
cost estimates a plus
- Some travel will be required
on an as needed basis
- Candidate must be
self-sufficient, have good communication skills, excellent writing skills, and
be proficient with basic Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint)
- Proficiency in CAD,
groundwater modeling programs, or GIS are a plus
- A working knowledge of
NYSDEC DER regulations, NYSDEC’s inactive hazardous waste site program, and
CERCLA will be essential
- Experience with NYSDOH
vapor intrusion guidance and sampling protocols is also a plus.
