Field Maintenance Supervisors



Accountabilities:

  • Review Resource And Production Plan (RAPP) and pre-job planning details and communicate to all maintenance personnel. 
  • Ensure that all applicable work permits are obtained and adhered to.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and courteous manner at all times and in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Develop daily work plans and ensure communication of daily priorities with field personnel.
Responsibilities:
  • Review Daily Weekly Operating Report (DWOR) and ensure appropriate actions are taken to address KPI performance issues. 
  • Secure and ensure proper deployment of job resources including ordering parts, requesting personnel, tools and consumables.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure all new hires/transfers receive required orientations.  Attend and participate in site specific orientations.
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete follow-up activities.
  • Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
  • Review safe work plans/ hazard assessment with crew prior to job commencement.
  • Conduct incident investigations and prepare associated support documentation immediately.
  • Ensure the effective use of the work order system.
  • Participate in the hiring process for new personnel and the discipline of current personnel as required.
  • Coordinate with the Equipment Superintendent to ensure proper training of personnel.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • To be determined annually in conjunction with direct supervisor

Work experience Requirements:

  • Three years experience in a heavy equipment shop accompanied by some supervisory background.

Education Requirements:

  • Post secondary education or equivalent experience relating to shop/field supervision.
  • AMSA (Alberta Mining Safety Association) certificate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Trained in CSTS, WHMIS and Standard First Aid
