In order to apply for this role you must hold a tertiary qualification in Metallurgy and have had extensive exposure with processing plants at a metallurgical level in the past.
You need to be a team player, a great networker who is looking to join a company that offers career opportunities and stability.
The successful applicant will report to the Manager Product Quality, providing technical expertise to the processing staff/contracting companies as required.
Your primary duties will be:
· Provide on site metallurgical, technical and operations support
· Assume the Manager Product Quality role and responsibilities in times of absence from site
· Review and analyse performance statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
· Provide technical support in the development of new and existing site based projects
· Proactively provide and support any performance improvement initiatives for the processing plant to lower costs and/or increase output and product quality
· Provide technical and operations support to the process supervisors and operators to ensure continuous improvement
· Daily and monthly metallurgical accounting
· Technical support to the operations staff
It is essential that you have:-
· A degree in Mineral Processing or Metallurgy;
· Demonstrated experience (min 3 years) in a senior operations at a supervisory level;
· Extensive exposure to managing contractors;
· 3 years demonstrated experience in Iron Ore Metallurgy would be advantageous;
· Experience in MS Word and Excel;
· Sound verbal and written communications at all levels;
· Be a great team player;
· Australian residency.
