Senior Business Development Negotiator



Job description
We have big expansion plans for our Alberta operations. Along with big plans, comes big opportunity. You will play a crucial role in achieving our goal of becoming a leading producer in the Alberta oilsands.
 
ACTIVITY
  • Identify new business opportunities for TEP Canada in line with the subsidiary’s strategy.
  • Direct and coordinate the technical and economical evaluation of new ventures opportunities in close coordination with the exploration manager.
  • Support and coordinate the internal approval processes (Covall, Corisk, Comex etc.).
  • Develop and create the materials (handouts, presentations etc.) for the internal approval processes.
  • Actively develop a network within Calgary business community.
  • Assure that new business opportunities are in line with downstream strategy.
  • Support the negotiation and development of Joint Venture and other agreements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Identify and promote new business opportunities for TEP Canada.
  • Support and coordinate/control the technical and economical evaluations of new business opportunities.
  • Support the internal approval process for new business opportunities and develop and present the documentation necessary for such internal approval processes.
  • Support the negotiation of Joint Venture and other agreements.
Education :
  • Degree in related field
Experience :
  • 10 years of Canadian oil and gas experience.
  • Strong experience in new ventures and business development and negotiations.
Skills :
  • Capability to take the overall lead of the evaluation and internal coordination of complex business opportunities.
  • Thorough understanding of economic evaluations and market fundamentals.
  • Capability of strategic thinking and formulation and ability to innovate.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
