Another opportunity to capitalise on the booming Queensland resources sector, don't miss this one!! My client is one of the largest players with over 3500 staff spread throughout countries all over the world. They have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical/Structural Checker to join their team.
Working within the Industrial Group the position will involve checking mechanical and structural drawings associated with various industrial projects including mining and materials handling.
This position will involve being part of a busy team environment and involve frequent interaction with CAD drafters, engineers and project staff.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Extensive checking experience on large EPC or EPCM projects
· Knowledge of Microstation or Autocad
· The ability to guide and mentor less senior engineers
· Relevant experience in the bulk materials handling field involving stackers, conveyors, trestles etc
