A formidable company combines an attractive portfolio of mineral assets in Africa and joint ventures in Australia. Its management team has a strong track record of success in finding and developing mineral resources.
Currently the company is concentrating on the assessment of the [Mine] and[Mine]. The Company moved into pre-feasibility mode for [Mine] in August 2007 with the aim of completing the pre-feasibility study by June 2008.
The primary goal of the company is to be southern Africa's most aggressive nickel and copper project developer.
Accordingly, we are seeking the services of a qualified Geologist/Exploration Manager with a degree in Geology (or other related discipline) coupled, ideally with a PhD and specific Copper experience. Base metals and Gold exploration (not single metal experience) preferred. A demonstrated background in Exploration including Business Development will be highly regarded. National and International exposure expected.
The responsibilities will extend to (but not be limited to);
· Providing leadership / technical support and create development pathways for the geological professionals
· Oversight, maintenance and continuous improvement of quality assurance and quality control systems
· Development and implementation of an exploration strategy
· Overall accountability for the management of tenements including JV and farm in arrangements
· Control of all exploration programmes within the company
· Participate in the company executive leadership team
