We are seeking an experienced ground water remediation geohydrologist /
engineer to monitor and manage the reclamation / restoration / remediation
process of the in-situ mining process.
The mining is done using the in-situ mining process
This mining process is used with 500-1000 foot deep wells. This is the
most environmentally friendly mining process in the industry. Unlike
other mining processes this process leaves the ore body in tact. A series of
water wells are used in a grid system. Water flows from one injection
well to an extraction well pumping out only 50-500ppm. The natural
landscape and wildlife are never affected. Therefore the company can ensure the
core zone is returned to its original state after mining operations have been
completed.
Position is responsible for:
- Providing field hydrology and ground water reclamation / restoration /
remediation expertise and other professional support to the company environmental
and remediation process
- The primary workload at this time includes groundwater monitoring,
operation and maintenance of large groundwater pump-and-treat remediation
systems, and associated reporting
- As well as modeling of subsurface restoration activities.
- Incumbent will directly supervise 1-3 professional staff and indirectly
supervise 7-10 operational staff.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Geology, Geohydrology, Environmental, Reservoir or Chemical
Engineering
- Five plus years of field hydrology and ground water
remediation/reclamation/restoration, pump-and-treat experience.
