We have an excellent opportunity in our Edmonton office:
- Creation of power system, hazardous area
classification, lightning protection, and grounding studies
- Design of medium voltage single line diagrams and
schematics.
- Preparation of
material requisitions for generators, transformers, switchgear, motor
control centres, and other engineered equipment and review/approval of subsequent
vendor documentation.
- Handling of code variances and technical deviations.
- Professionally responsible for all the calculations,
drawings, documents and work packages created by the design team as per APEGGA
guidelines.
- Develop and mentor other team members.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGGA or
other Canadian professional engineering body.
- Well versed in the Canadian Electrical Code and other
regulatory codes.
- A minimum of 2 years past experience in heavy
industrial design working with low voltage and medium voltage systems up to 15
kV.
- Experience in oil/gas, mining, pulp/paper, and thermal
power generation is an asset
