Our client is a Global leader in the commercial and explosive industry employing over 3500 people across 2 continents. Providing blasting solutions and explosive products, they have over 36 manufacturing facilities and a commitment to some of the highest safety standards in the industry.
Due to the successful tendering of new contracts, a new position is being created for a specialist underground blasting consultant. This position will report to the Senior Technical Consultant and work with younger Engineers to mentor and encourage the sharing of ideas.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
· Auditing Drill and Blast procedures on site
· Optimising fragmentation and drill patterns
· Ensuring best safety practices and operational process
· Introduction of new technologies
· Mentoring junior engineers
You will have a minimum of 7 years experience in the blasting industry, with a strong history in underground production. Block caving experience would be a big plus and you will need to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and be a self-sufficient worker.
An above average salary package is on offer with considerable benefits and significant rewards and bonuses. Relocation will be covered from anywhere in Australia if required and accommodation will be provided.
