You are a tertiary qualified mining engineer with experience in drill and blast operations. You enjoy working autonomously and the support of a company that encourages new and creative ideas from its employees. Our client is a World leader in coal production and own and operate a number of mines in the domestic coal mining industry. Having recently expanded their operations in [Location], further planned growth is expected in the short to medium term.
As the Drill and Blast Engineer you must be able to demonstrate recent drill and blast experience in an open cut environment and possess a work ethic that is commensurate with the expectations of the role.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, your responsibilities will include design and selection of the mine blast plan, post shot reporting and contractor management. You will work closely with the technical services department and you will maintain a strong focus on safety and data analysis.
Preferably, you will have at least two years experience and be able to hit the ground running.
