My client is a leading Australian mining and resources company with a diversified asset portfolio in carbon and stainless steel materials. They are currently looking for a Logistics Manager with Mining experience.
The Responsibilities of this position include:
· Promote and implement the Company's safety philosophy among employees and contractors to ensure a positive, safety attitude throughout the logistics operations.
· Identify supply chain and logistical opportunities to enhance the bottom line benefits for the Company.
· Compile and manage budgets and expenditure justifications as appropriate.
· Compile monthly operations reports.
· Manage, schedule and monitor the Company's haulage operations for the safe transport of product from mine sites to the port of loading to ensure adherence to shipping and production schedules.
Criteria for Applicants
To be considered for this opportunity, the following qualifications, experience and values are required:
Experience:
· Tertiary qualifications preferred in a business discipline or logistics /supply chain management.
· Extensive and proven experience in contractor management in a logistics environment.
· Demonstrated sound financial control and budgeting experience.
· Advance computer literacy.
· High level of verbal and written communication.
Values:
· Commitment to safety and ability to pro-actively contribute to a positive safety culture.
· Ability to work autonomously and make decisions under pressure.
· Good time management and self drive.
· Strengths in problem solving.
· Strengths in leadership and proven capability to lead mentor.
