Our client is linked with some of the largest mining companies in the industry and therefore has the resources and career progression capabilities to really develop and utilise your skills and accelerate your career.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead their project team within the engineering department. In this role you will be a key member of the team and will work with others to ensure the management and execution of projects across the operation.
The successful candidate will be involved from conceptual stage through to project hand over.
In this role you can really consolidate you technical skills coupled with your leadership ability and enjoy the benefits of being apart of a world class operation.
In this role, your responsibilities will involve working with the team to:
· Deliver projects from conceptual/ feasibility stage through construction, commissioning and then handover
· Work on a range of capital and other projects across the site
· Liaise with other members of the maintenance and operations teams to achieve project results
· Provide technical support to the Production and Metallurgical departments
· Maintain a high level of safety and environmental standards
To be successful you will ideally have:
· A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
· A background in mining or mineral processing environments
· The ability to lead and develop a team
· 7+ years experience in a similar role
