We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Safety and Rehabilitation Coordinator to drive this site forward against risk and injury.
Reporting to the Safety Manager you will be responsible for site wide safety systems and implementation. The sites leadership team will look to you for advice on all health and safety issues as well as contractors and operational staff. You will monitor the records of injuries, safety audits, risk and hazard assessments, rehabilitation and budgets relating to your department.
You will need:
· Tertiary qualifications in health and safety
· Experience implementing safety systems on a mine site
· A strong ability to audit safety systems and implement changes
· Excellent understanding of legislations relative to coal mining operations
· Solid communication and presentation skills
You will be:
· Confident in liaising with community groups and external auditing bodies
· Able to quickly develop sterling relations with mine management and operational staff
· Pro-active in identifying problems and providing effective solutions
· A leader amongst your colleagues
· Passionate about health and safety and relative issues on site
This residential role is based in a town a very short drive from site. You will love the comfort of returning home every night. With the Queensland Central Coast just a few hours away, you have a choice of getaways and escapes.
