Successful and well funded [Location] based mineral exploration company, which is focused on exploring and developing gold and base metals projects within Australia and overseas, is currently looking to appoint a Senior Project Geologist.
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will be responsible for leading all Nickel exploration for the Company, initially focusing on early stage projects located within WA. The company currently has 4 key project areas which it is looking to explore, as well as strong financial backing through its JV partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Target generation
· Design, plan and execute work programs
· Analyze and interpret results
· Reporting
· Train and develop junior field geologists
· Assist with evaluating global nickel projects
Field programs will be executed on a campaign basis as required, with multiple projects running.
The Company is looking to ramp up its Nickel portfolio, including evaluating global nickel projects. For the right candidate the role will involve managing Nickel exploration both within Australia and all overseas projects.
To be considered you must have tertiary qualifications in geology as well as a minimum of 5 - 10 years mining or exploration experience, with a strong emphasis and understanding of sulphide nickel mineralization.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term standing within a highly prospective junior listed explorer, which has demonstrated huge success to date and is already heavily backed for the further development of a large-scale gold deposit project in Africa.
Salary package will be negotiated dependent on relevant experience and inline with market expectations.
