|
Our client has various tenements located north of [Location], due-diligence has been completed and the findings present an exciting opportunity for this junior mining company. To take this coal venture from exploration to production they need a highly experienced and driven Geologist to take ownership of the project and build it from the ground up!
If successful you'll be kept busy not only with geological focused tasks but also with operational matters, so if you are chasing variety then this role is definitely worth investigating.
To begin with your key responsibilities will include…
· Construction of the office
· Organisation of logistics matters (negotiating road and port contracts)
· Establish relationship with local land owners
· Liaison with contract drillers
· Recruitment of staff
Once the projects foundations have been laid you'll then guide and mentor your team of staff to move into production phase.
Although exposure to coal will be highly desirable my client is more focused on securing a candidate who possesses a strong geological background, experience in a management role and exceptional communication skills.
While this role is fairly autonomous you'll be fully supported by a young, dynamic and experienced management team who genuinely enjoy seeing their employees succeed.
A competitive salary and housing benefits will be discussed during the interview process, the roster will be structured to fit in with the requirements on site and the successful candidates personal desires.
