Underground & Opencut Mining Operations and Support Sites.
An outstanding opportunity for a well credentialed and qualified Mining / Electrical Engineer to add value to our client.
A key focus will be to continue to implement modern engineering principles that will contribute to supporting the Company's position in terms of technically advanced operation, products, innovation, quality and responsiveness. You will possess industry experience in the Underground or Opencut Mining Sector.
Core Accountabilities:
· Ensure activities comply with the requirements of current Mining regulations, standards and HSEC Management Systems
· a sound knowledge of relevant safety legislation and regulations with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
· Plan and coordinate, with relevant personnel, safe, effective and efficient production operations.
· Demonstrate behaviour which is in accordance with Operating Principles
· Review, monitor and develop recommendations to improve the way work is performed and resources utilised to achieve key performance indicators
· Coach and develop personnel and foster a positive and productive working relationship between contract team members and principal
· Assist with the preparation of capital and operating budgets and cost effective management of the work area.
Reporting to the Site Director, and responsible for the scheduling and co-ordinating of operating functions, you will make a significant contribution to the company's business performance and growth, now and into the future.
Technical Competencies:
· Mining/Engineering degree
· 3+ years Underground or Opencut mining experience
· Supervisory qualifications
· 3+ year's project management experience will be highly regarded
· Be competent in computer based mine planning scheduling and financial packages,
