Currently they are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Principal Mine Planning Engineer to join their successful operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Study Manager the primary focus of this role is the preparation and subsequent delivery of mine planning, mine design, schedules (physicals and costs) and business plan to support the development projects from concept to feasibility studies.
To be successful in this role you will have:
· Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
· High level of communication skills both written and verbal.
Key Accountabilities:
· Mine design and planning
· Investment optimisation
· Ore reserves estimation
· Leverage identification and assessment
· Critical implementation planning
· Schedule and cost estimate
· Project front end loading (FEL) to increase business reliability
· Risk and option evaluation
Tertiary/postgraduate qualifications in Mining Engineering discipline is a prerequisite.
Relevant experience including:
· Project management expertise
· High level of mining and processing knowledge
· Exposure to business and investment evaluation
· Extensive mine design, planning, risk and option evaluation
· experience in block/panel caving
