About The Role
This is a senior management role that will see you working with some of Australia's major players in the mining industry. Our client is currently working in an Alliance to extract ore from a lucrative iron ore body.
You will be reporting to the Manager of Operations and your responsibilities will include:
· Managing all production related functions
· Achieving agreed mine productions targets
· Supervision of Mine Engineering/Mine Planning staff
· Ensuring adherence to all OH&S regulations
· Preparing reports for management
· Ensuring operational efficiency, sustainability and optimisation of company assets
· Ensuring compliance of the operation with the management systems governing the alliance
· Ensuring short to medium term mine plans are developed and executed
· Management of key technical projects to deliver optimal business performance
Requirements
· Degree in Engineering (Preferred however not essential)
· Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate
· Minimum of five years mining experience
· Experience working for a mining contractor in an open pit environment
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
This position is offered on a 9:5 FIFO roster from [Location]. You will be paid handsomely for your skills and expertise - up to $220K base plus superannuation plus bonuses (including 5 weeks annual leave).
