About the Role
Located [Location] this project will support the [Company] of Queensland planned expansion at [Location] .
The project will include 69km's of rail will "fill in" the missing link to enable coal trains from Central Queensland to travel directly to [Location] , significantly increasing the region's coal export capacity by a further 50 million tones per year.
This organisation has been awarded the statutory mine operator and will be responsible for the all mine operations, including mining, coal processing, rehabilitation and loading coal on rail for transportation.
A the Senior Engineer - Drill & Blast you will:
· lead a team of Drill & Blast professionals reviewing existing work practices and
· implement innovative improvements in safety, productivity and cost effectiveness
· Generate Drill & Blast designs
· Liaise closely with subcontractors
· Monitor compliance to QA practices
Skills / Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate relevant mining or engineering qualifications with specific experience in Drill & Blast, as well as a firm commitment to safety.
