Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Westmoreland Resources Inc. is the owner of the Absaloka Mine, a major surface coal mine in the upper Sarpy Creek Basin in Montana. We are in search of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. The heavy equipment Mechanic will be responsible for all repairs and services associated with the heavy equipment.

• Applicants for this position must have prior experience and/or knowledge of tasks associated with repairs and servicing of dozers, haulers, blades, scrapers, loaders, pickups, trucks and other light vehicles and maintenance of diesel equipment
• Applicants must have the skills required to perform the above duties on a multi-shift operation
• Two year diesel technology degree preferred or equivalent experience.

The wage and benefits for this position will be as established by the Mining Agreement between Westmoreland Resources Inc. and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No.  400 AFL-CIO.
