Intermediate / Senior Process Engineer



We are currently recruiting an Intermediate / Senior Process Engineer for an opportunity in Fort Saskatchewan. This is a plant site based position to work directly with the owner.
 
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the Engineering team. Roles within the team could include completing complex engineering studies on plant improvements and new processes, working as part of a project team on implementation of capital projects, or production engineering assignments.
 
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering (extractive metallurgy) and a minimum of 7-10 years of process engineering experience in commercial plant operations, process development and/or engineering design roles in nickel, copper, zinc, or gold recovery. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively in multidisciplinary cross-functional project teams are a requirement. Supervisory experience of junior engineers and technical staff and familiarity with process simulation software (IDEAS, METSIM and HYSYS) will be considered assets. Preference will be given to candidates with APEGGA professional designation (or eligibility therefore).
 
Pay rates will be based on experience and current market standards.
