Mining, Environmental and Geotechnical
Looking to grow your

mining industry, we require several people to join our mining team in multiple
locations throughout Easter Canada (Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes). We are
active leaders in other market sectors and your career at AMEC could certainly
include work outside of Mining though that is currently one of our key needs in
the water resources area. We are currently hiring for the following
positions - is your career ready for that next step?
Responsibilities:
- An intermediate to senior Hydrogeologist is required to join our
team.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in a wide variety of
physical hydrogeology projects.
- Specific work may include pit/mine dewatering projects, tailings
pond assessments, injection and well testing, environmental impact
assessments for the resource industry, water supply work and groundwater
modeling.
- Some contaminant hydrogeology may also be involved.
- Design and conduct field investigations including groundwater
investigations, pump tests, packer tests and site characterizations /
investigations.
- Design and conduct field projects to map
hydrogeological features and to install groundwater instrumentation.
- Work with clients in the mining, resource and oil industries to
produce conclusions, recommendations and develop long-term hydrogeological
services.
Qualifications:
- A post-graduate degree in
Hydrogeology or related discipline is preferred
- 7 years or more relevant
experience
- Consulting experience asset
- Strong, all-round academic
knowledge of both geology and hydrogeology
- Experience with common groundwater software (MODFLOW, AQTESOLV,
AQUACHEM)
- Eligibility for
professional registration.
