Surveyors

• Works in a safe manner and is especially conscious of men working below. Is knowledgeable of all applicable workplace procedures, the five point safety system and a workers responsibility under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Installs necessary survey control, steady brackets, elevation tape brackets under the direction of the shaft engineer, line and grade for stations etc. and locates concrete forms and shaft furniture to required specification
• Frames and installs guides and brackets.
• Maintains a liaison with the shift leader.
• Prepares necessary construction and development layouts.
• Performs random checks on face mark ups.
