Metallurgical Engineer

Job Description

• Perform failure investigations
• Evaluation of in service component integrity utilising replication techniques
• Part inspection for vendor substantiation or production release
• Metallurgical assessment of new manufacturing methods
• Evaluation of microstructural evolution with service exposure

Main Requirements/Experience

• A good metallurgy or materials science degree plus 3 years experience; or significant relevant experience
• Familiar with standard metallographic techniques
• Experienced failure investigator
• Experience with SEM and replication methods
