Senior Geotechnical Engineer

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our very friendly and professional client, based Auckland. Reporting to the Group Leader, this role is part of a small but busy and expanding team. Successful candidates need to be self motivated, enthusiastic, a good communicator, particularly with written reports.

The role will see you undertaking geotechnical engineering projects in a range of soil and rock types for roading, mining, industrial and government clients. The emphasis will be on data interpretation, analysis and design. You will also be project managing as well as being involved in contract management, client liaison and budget control. There is also the chance to assist with business development.

Additionally you will also be involved in field work supervision including mapping, drilling, hand augers, soil and rock logging and testing as and when required.

It is essential that you are qualified to a minimum Bachelors degree level together with 10 years post graduate relevant geotechnical experience.
