Our client is an innovative resources organisation building an integrated, highly capable core team, founded on the company’s values of professionalism, collaboration, accountability and dignity.
Working on a major project focusing on oil resources, our client is offering a leading role within the organisation.
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will provide leadership, advice and assistance in developing and implementing sound environmental management systems that comply with or exceed EA and regulatory requirements at the site.
You will have the objective of establishing and managing the site’s environmental monitoring programs that will have the purpose of providing relevant data input to the commercial plant EIS process; managing existing EA requirements; providing advice and field support for mine management in monitoring and managing EA compliance; and undertaking statutory reporting requirements.
To be considered for this role you will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or similar relevant qualification
· Extensive relevant experience preferably in heavy industrial, construction or resources industries
· Proven knowledge of environmental legislation and processes, ideally in Queensland
· Experience with GIS systems and developing and implementing environmental management systems would be an advantage
· Excellent communication skills
