Surface Engineer

• Our client, a multiple state mining operation utilizing both underground and surface mining techniques is searching for Surface Engineers to join their mid-West operations
• Responding to market needs, this supplier of high quality bituminous is undergoing controlled growth in each of their facilities.

Position Summary:

• The surface engineer works with all activities within surface and underground mining operations. In addition to daily operations responsibilities, the surface engineer will interface with regulatory and environmental agencies to insure compliance with all safe mining protocol
• Working with the Mining Superintendent, this is a highly visible position; subject to growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess:

• Bachelor's Degree In Engineering (Mining, Civil Or Related Technical Discipline)
• Illinois P.E. License
• 5 Years Mining Experience
• Mine Permitting For Environmental And Mining Plans
• Supervisory Experience Required
• State and Federal Mining Certificates
• Extensive Mine Planning And Projection Layout Experience
• Construction And Mine Project Experience
• Mine Property and Records Maintenance
• Mine And Technical Drawings Experience

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Compensation Starts At $80,000 And Can Go To $130,000 (Depending On Experience)
