GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
We are looking for a dynamic and results oriented individual to be
responsible for:
- Providing geotechnical evaluation of GBR's and other geological
summaries regarding proposed and existing ground strata along the designed
tunnel axis
- Preparing and reviewing geotechnical matters, formal calculations or
reports to substantiate or qualify design approach to excavating principles and
the use of ground altering products
- Providing analysis, technical direction and advise to ensure proper
excavation methods and in response to client requests
- Researching trends and new tunneling technologies applicable to LOVAT
TBM
- Providing analysis, technical direction and advice in response to
inquiries from clients relating to geotechnical elements
- Managing the collection, compilation and analysis of excavation,
including operating conditions and performance reports
- Providing advice, guidance and direction regarding geotechnical elements
to ensure proper excavation methods are carried out
- Providing technical support to Field Service, Project Management, and
Sales Departments
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An engineering degree (preferably in the discipline of geotechnical,
geological or civil)
- Currently registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng
- Knowledge of ground material properties and behaviour of materials in
disturbed and undisturbed states
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Previous experience in the mining industry an asset
