Industrial Millwright

Black Cat Blades is a rapidly growing producer of ground engaging tools for the road maintenance, construction and mining sector. Our prime focus is manufacturing superior blades in a work environment dedicated to safety, continuous improvement, employee involvement and customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a Certified Industrial Millwright

• Experience in the steel industry, fabrication and automation or a limited electrical license would be considered an asset
• This position will be working closely with our production foremen, and production employees while maintaining and enhancing our equipment and facilities

Qualifications of a suitable candidate that would be considered an asset include:

• a valid certificate of qualification in the trade of Industrial Millwright
• good fabrication skills working with steel
• troubleshooting of automated systems and basic electrical controls
• knowledge of CNC equipment
• experience with hydraulic components and systems
• familiar with preventative maintenance and lean manufacturing practices
• ability to work successfully in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision
• good interpersonal and communication skills
