Our client - A successful & growing coal mining company, has an immediate for an experienced Mine Superintendent to join their team in beautiful Northern BC.

In this role you will:

• Report directly to the Mine Manager
• Possess a degree, and at least 15 years operation experience in the mining industry
• Supervise and coordinate the production crews responsible for the operation of the mine and related facilities
• Work in accordance with company objectives and procedures, responsible for meeting commitments to tonnage and quality / waste removal, equipment and manpower utilization
• Be responsible for budget / cost controls
• Direct the operations through one or more levels of supervision
• Oversee analysis of data and information
• Recommend operational changes to ensure that production quotas and procedures are met
• Evaluate efficiency of production sites
• Determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies
• Prepare work schedules
• Have excellent time management, communication and decision making abilities
