Metallurgist / Quality Lab Technician

An opportunity is available in a rapidly growing consumer product company located near Charleston, SC.  This company is expanding its quality department to include a quality / metallurgy lab to ensure safe, high quality products are sent to the customers.  Come join a stable international corporation with lots of career growth potential. 

• Responsibilities include analyzing the metals to ensure product is safe and durable, ensuring quality standards are met, analyzing for thermal shock and heat resistance, auditing for FDA regulatory compliance, product testing, and being heavily involved in the set up of a new lab including working with outside vendors on equipment needed and determining what supplies are needed. 
• Requirements include someone with strong metallurgy knowledge and experience, experience with commercial product testing, experience testing for heavy metals, and extensive experience working in a metallurgy quality lab.
• Other requirements include someone with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
