About the Opportunity
- JBR Environmental Consultants, Inc. seeking mid to senior
level Geologist/Environmental Engineer for its office in Elko, Nevada. Work will include
performing CERCLA, RCRA, and CWA-type site investigations and remediation
projects. Projects may include soil and ground water sampling,
monitoring, well installation, development, aquifer testing; Phase I and Phase
II ESAs; permitting and remediation system design for industrial,
manufacturing, and mining sites; etc.
Mid – Senior Level personnel will coordinate and conduct
site investigative and remedial field and office work. Initially,
field-related work may comprise 50% of time. 40-hr. HAZWOPER-trained
preferred. Annual salary will depend on experience, and is
negotiable. JBR will consider relocation for the right candidate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5
years experience with soil and ground water sampling; monitoring well
installations, development, and aquifer testing; phase I and phase II
ESA’s; in industrial manufacturing settings, and at mining sites.
- Minimum of 5
years experience in Environmental Consulting with a geological emphasis.
- Minimum of 5
years experience with state and federal environmental law, including
permitting, CERCLA, RCRA, and CWA-type site investigations and
remediation projects, environmental policies, and prevention
policies.
- Proficiency
with water quality monitoring, soil and ground water investigations and
general hydrology or hydrogeology a must.
- BS in
Geology, Environmental Engineering or other Environmental Science related
field is required, MS in Geology, Hydrology or other Environmental Science
field preferred.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER
training preferred.
- Excellent
English verbal and written communications skills are essential.
- Demonstrated
serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or
deadlines; must be detail oriented.
- Demonstrated
ability to utilize multiple resources, quantitative and qualitative
research methodologies to capture and interpret information.
