Geologist / Environmental Engineer



About the Opportunity

 

Mid – Senior Level personnel will coordinate and conduct site investigative and remedial field and office work.  Initially, field-related work may comprise 50% of time.  40-hr. HAZWOPER-trained preferred.  Annual salary will depend on experience, and is negotiable.  JBR will consider relocation for the right candidate.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with soil and ground water sampling; monitoring well installations, development, and aquifer testing; phase I and phase II ESA’s; in industrial manufacturing settings, and at mining sites.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Environmental Consulting with a geological emphasis.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with state and federal environmental law, including permitting, CERCLA, RCRA, and CWA-type site investigations and remediation projects, environmental policies, and prevention policies.
  • Proficiency with water quality monitoring, soil and ground water investigations and general hydrology or hydrogeology a must.
  • BS in Geology, Environmental Engineering or other Environmental Science related field is required, MS in Geology, Hydrology or other Environmental Science field preferred.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines; must be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize multiple resources, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to capture and interpret information.
