Mine Engineer

Our client, a large mining company, is currently seeking to
hire a Mine Engineer for their Saskatoon, SK location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the
following:
- Leading pit operations planning
(design & scheduling) and budgeting
- Promote improvements in all areas to
meet or exceed set targets
- Act as a strong safety leader in all
aspects of the open pit operation
- Perform supervisory duties on a
relief basis and leadership in team activities
- Daily interaction with mining
contractors
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor degree in Mining/Geology or
technician/technologist degree with Mine Planning experience or 2 – 8 years of
open pit, truck/shovel mining experience or underground experience
- Ability to handle a large and varied
workload
- Excellent interpersonal,
communication, planning, problem solving and organization skills
- Ability to work in a team
environment with minimal supervision
- Experience working with MS Office,
SAP, CAD, and Mine Planning software such as Surpac
