Our client, a leader in
their industry has an immediate requirement for a Quarry Supervisor, Open Pit
Supervisor.
Job
Description
- You will be responsible for
scheduling and supervising all mining activities including stripping, drilling,
blasting, loading, haulage and reclamation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a
quarry, open- pit environment
- Must have strong
supervisory experience
- Unionized supervisory
experience is ideal
- Relevant College or University diploma/ degree
(mining engineering degree, or geologist degree is preferred)
- Experience/training in the
area of mine engineering is an asset
- Drill and blast training
- Mechanical
aptitude/experience
- Familiar with heavy
equipment
- Mine planning using AutoCAD
and Datamine is desirable.
