Project Engineer

• Provides technical and engineering support to the mining operations at either the surface or underground mines which includes all phases namely system design, concurrence, project management, and cost tracking
• These projects may require preparation of request for proposals, equipment acquisitions, capital cost tracking, mine planning, preparation of property evaluations, and developing long-term mine strategies
• Ensures that projects are completed timely, cost efficiently, and safely.

Requirements for the position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in mine engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of related experience in engineering and mine operations
• (Will consider candidates with less than 5 years experience; compensation will be commensurate with appropriate grade level.)
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of mine operations, engineering and financial analysis.
• Project management and leadership skills including the ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
• Willingness to obtain certifications such as fireboss, foreman, high, medium and low electrical voltage, surface and underground blasting certifications.
