Environmental Engineer

JOB FUNCTION:

• Contribute to the J.R. Simplot Companys efficiency, profits and growth by providing technical expertise to production facilities.
• This position works with various departments to create and enhance production facility control and ensure environmental compliance requirements are met.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Hazardous and solid waste management
• RCRA waste regulations
• Waste characterization
• Public outreach
• Process water and sanitary sewer systems
• The position also requires informing and educating other employees of regulations, policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from a four year accredited college or university program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering degree with a background/education in industrial process systems is preferred.
• Experience in environmental compliance is a must.
