Geophysical Analyst – Technical

Description

• Provide first and second level technical support to our customers.
• Communicate effectively with our internal and external customers via the telephone, trouble-shoot customer issues, and maintain a high level of customer service.

Functions

• Trouble-shoot customer issues, such as performing quality assurance on future products, advanced testing on current issues with the development team and Technical Support
• Record client issues into a customer support database application
• Partner with the Development, Quality Assurance and Sales groups to maintain a solid communication route to provide information on technical support issues
• Provide pre and post sales walk-through demos of products to our customers
• Maintain a high level of customer service for establishing ongoing relationships with our customers
• Provide detailed information to management for “critical” issues 
• Review product documentation for the release of new products
• Assist in the development of deliverables that are posted on the Customer Website
• Light domestic travel

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Windows-based office software, such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in the Windows operating system, including Windows XP Professional and Vista
• Ability to quickly learn new software
• Able to use time wisely to achieve goals
• Bachelors Degree in Geology or Geophysics
• Kingdom software experience
• Geosciences interpretation experience
• 2 years experience in the technical support field
• Masters Degree in Geology or Geophysics
