Underground Mine Supervisor

Responsibilities

• On shift, hold team accountable for safety, behaviour, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Supervise the “production work” components of the FLP&S business process.
• Carryout tasks as assigned by the General Foreman or his/her designate to achieve the overall targets for their area of responsibility.
• Work within budget, guidelines and standards and execute Safety and Production Plans as established by the General Foreman or his/her designate.
• Work with the team to develop a truly interactive workplace environment.
• Foster a climate of safety, mutual trust, and respect among all members of his/her team.
• Work collaterally with peers and cross functionally with colleagues in engineering, geology, maintenance, and services to achieve the objectives of the mine.
• Assist, recommend and/or request training in skills development where possible and recommend needs to the General Foreman.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12
• Underground Supervisory Common Core is an asset.
• Minimum two years experience in Resource industry
• Experience in underground mining including trackless development is an asset
