A rare and exciting position has recently developed for an experienced Safety Officer to come on board and drive the continuous improvement of onsite safety and awareness.

Reporting to the HSET Superintendent your duties may include but are not limited to the following:
· Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental procedures, and statutory legislation
· Coaching the workforce in all aspects of health and safety
· Facilitating the development and implementation of safety initiatives
· Conducting safety meetings and risk minimisation programs.
· Facilitating formal risk assessments and incident investigations
· Developing and implementing programs and initiatives that will continually improve current systems.
To be successful in this role you must have:
· Solid safety experience within Mining or Construction/ Heavy Industrial
· Qualifications in OH&S
· Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
· Key understanding of safety legislations
· A commitment to identifying and implementing safety initiatives
· Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
