Director Of Petroleum Geoscience

DUTIES:

• The Director plans and directs the petroleum geoscience program by overseeing the development and administration of legislation, guidelines and policies to govern petroleum exploration and geological activities
• Duties include providing expert technical and policy advice related to interpretations of geophysical data, assessing and managing geophysical data, and authorizing geophysical programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualifications should include a Master's Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science or related field supplemented by extensive geoscience program management and supervisory experience related to the petroleum sector
• Eligibility for registration as a P.Geo. with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) is required.
