Electrical Controls Engineer or Technologist

  • As a valuable team member you would be expected to develop, maintain and troubleshoot a wide variety of control systems involving multiple languages and databases
  • You must be able to work with minimum supervision, however, recognizing and utilizing the abilities and resources at hand within other team members. 
  • You will be jointly developing industrial software for PLC/HMI
  • You must be comfortable with basic hardware troubleshooting and PC networking as required in real-time environments.

Requirements

  • Degree/diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in real-time control systems programming
  • Should be fluent in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC-5/ControlLogix, Modicon 984/Quantum, GE 90/70, 90/30 is essential
  • HMI development experience in one or more of the following applications is required
  • RSView, Wonderware, Cimplicity, iFix, Rockwell, FactoryLink.  DeviceNet configuration.
  • Those with experience in the Oil and Gas industry will be considered first. 
  • Working knowledge of VB, Access and SQL Server would be a definite asset.

One of the opportunities is a 10 days on with 4 days off rotation for 2 months then full time from the Calgary office working on other projects.  Please indicate is this is of interest to you.  As well, our Denver office is growing rapidly; if you are open to relocating to Denver please indicate so in your response. Strong command of the English language a must both written and oral.
