Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator

Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a suitably qualified HSE Coordinator to support our site based operation within the Engineering and Construction: Oil and Gas Division. This is a [Location] role, requiring regular site visits. Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for providing advice, support and direction to the division, including site operations, on all HSE matters.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
· Providing assistance, advice and leadership in HSE Management to Project HSE Advisors, Supervisors and Project Management;
· Conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Monadelphous, client & legislative HSE requirements;
· Preparation of HSE Management plans and audit tools;
· Liaising with sub-contractors, client and supplier representatives in relation to HSE matters;
· Reviewing and revising key HSE Management Standards and Procedures;
· Monitoring and reporting on emerging HSE issues including legislative and industry standards changes;
· Identifying HSE training needs for the project or operations and coordinating appropriate training requirements; and
· Coordination of incident investigations & preparation of internal & external HSE reports.
To be successful you will possess the following:
· Tertiary qualifications in OH&S;
· A demonstrated knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation;
· Relevant experience in a HSE Role in oil and gas and/ or construction, performing similar duties;
· An understanding of HSE management practices, standards and systems; and
· Well-developed interpersonal skills teamed with excellent written skills, computer literacy.
