Senior Mine Geologist

This role will require recent underground experience, in addition to proven skills in leading/mentoring a small geology team. The ability to work autonomously on a variety of technical projects will be essential, however, your leadership skills will be regularly put to good use.

A position has become available with this dynamic Australian owned mining company. With operations located in Central Western NSW, they offer room to move and grow. This client can offer great prospects – ensuring there are no limits placed on what you can achieve.

The client operates an underground copper mine in which 870 tonnes of copper ore is extracted each year producing in excess of 150,000 tonnes of concentrate.

They are currently seeking a Senior Mine Geologist to join their team of four. Your excellent interpersonal skills and team focus will allow you to establish effective working relationships with team members and other departments.

Your geological experience will be invaluable in:
·         Overseeing daily collection of geological data
·         Ensuring that production and quality targets are met
·         Calculation of annual resource and reserves statements
·         Planning and implementing grade control activities on site
·         Data management & reporting
·         Assisting and developing mine planning, systems and scheduling process

The successful applicant will have Tertiary qualifications and must be able to demonstrate a minimum of four to five years in a similar role. In addition, it is desirable that you have underground mine, base metals experience and hands on project experience. Relocation costs, production bonus and subsidy on accommodation available.
