The Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel
Association (OSSGA), a not-for-profit industry association representing over
250 companies in an industry fundamental to Ontario's economic growth
and prosperity, is seeking an Environment and Resources Manager to provide
professional advice and technical support to the association. Reporting to the President, you will monitor,
review and assess a number of issues - including provincial legislation, local
and regional planning, environment, and aggregate resource management - and
their impact on the association and industry.
- Providing support to several OSSGA
committees, you will also represent the association on several provincial and
other advisory boards and committees, and to interest groups and the public.
- You possess a university degree in
environmental science, land use planning, landscape architecture or a related
discipline combined with 5 years professional experience, ideally in the
aggregate industry.
- In addition to your strong knowledge of the
Environmental Protection Act, Planning Act, Aggregate Resources Act, and
Environmental Assessment Act, you possess excellent interpersonal and
communication skills and have the ability to work both independently and as a
team member.
