Data Systems Technician

Our Group Technical team are looking for a Data Systems Technician who can develop and manage GIS and other data systems capabilities and provide the team with GIS data management support and services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Implement and manage the Group Technical GIS facility.
· Maintaining validated and up-to-date GIS in areas of; resource proving, national aerial photography and topography models, land and private mineral resources ownership, property management, asset management, regional infrastructure.
· Using GIS systems to provide maps, plans, reports etc for input to Vulcan and other software systems.
· Develop national standards relating to GIS data and databases.
· Augmenting and updating the GIS database with spatial information sourced from Technical Data Archives.
· Assist with data management for other Company systems.
Ideally you will have:
· A relevant tertiary degree in geosciences or GIS.
· Minimum 3 years GIS experience: Geo-referencing, Generating Plots, Data Validation; ArcGIS.
· Database construction and maintenance experience.
Experience in mining or a resource industry, while not essential, would be advantageous.
