Cadia Valley Operations has a vacancy for a suitably qualified Mine Planning Engineer. Reporting to the Principal Mine Planning Engineer, key responsibilities for this position will include but not limited to the following:
· Concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility mine planning, mine design, scheduling, cost estimate and business plans for Cadia projects.
· Design changes and enhancements for the Cadia projects currently under development.
· Ore reserve estimation .
· Assisting the Mine Planning team with the development of mining approaches to enhance the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies designs and business outcomes.
· Documentation
· Study report with the necessary submissions and deliverables
· Assisting in the presentation of the study report to decision makers
· Assisting in the project endorsement, approvals & gating
· Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
Your key skills and attributes will incorporate the following:
· Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering discipline.
· Technical experience in open pit and underground mine planning, mine design, scheduling, and business planning processes.
· Industry experience of at least 3 to 5 years.
· Report writing and presentation skills.
· The ability to think and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
· Work within time constraints and deliver within deadlines.
· Take strong personal ownership of projects.
· Highly developed analytical skills and an ability to work to deadlines will see you excel in this role.
Cadia Valley Operations is located approximately 25kms south of the scenic and historic community of Orange, NSW. The region offers a diverse range of dining, shopping, nightlife, sporting amenities and tourist attractions. Bathurst is 30 minutes drive east, the Blue Mountains 1 hour, Sydney, Canberra and the coast are within 3.5 hours drive.
The successful candidate will be relocated to Orange and receive a competitive remuneration package.
