Our client is a leader within the South African Mining Community. Due to the growth and excellence, they require an Environmental Scientist for their project based at Richards Bay.

Qualifications
B degree in Environmental Management or Natural Sciences

Experience & Requirements
·         3 - 5 years experience in Environmental Management
·         Knowledge in Environmental legislation, ISO 14001 standard, monitoring principles and techniques, risk management, project management, mine closure and rehabilitation,

·         EMPR implementation and assessment, data interpretation and report writing is required

·         Personal attributes required: Planning and organizing, concern for order and quality, should be able to function in a team, result Oriented, interpersonal sensitivity

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
·         Ensure legislative compliance for the mine
·         Conduct internal audit
·         Compile KPI reports
·         Ensure ISO 14001 certification
·         Data monitoring and interpretation
·         Monitor mine rehabilitation and closure
·         Risk Management
·         Administer the incident management system
