Senior Metallurgical Engineer

Company Summary: Continental Minerals Corporation’s Xietongmen Project is located 240 kilometers west of the city of Lhasa in the province of Tibet. The grade and continuity of mineralization discovered demonstrates that the property has excellent potential to host large porphyry-like copper-gold deposits amenable to open pit mining.

Position Summary:

• Responsible for designing, directing, and analyzing applied engineering research to develop or modify systems and techniques, which will improve metallurgical recovery.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide recommendations on the improvement of metallurgical studies, development, testing and analyzing of design processes and procedures;
• Advise on metallurgical studies, development, testing and analyzing of designs process and procedures;
• Develop implementation plans for all projects, coordinating with personnel, other functions and consultants;
• Monitor the process of all metallurgical activities, highlighting any areas of concern with respect to performance schedule and with specifications of line of detail;
• Review all consultant proposals and bid documentation for all services and equipment.

Requirements:

• A Relevant Degree
• 7 – 9 years relevant metallurgical experience
• Fluent English, Mandarin an asset
